Isaiah 43:19
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
We have found that life is always an adventure. When the cafe closed back in September, I told Anna that I was looking forward to just punching a time card, putting in my 40 hours (which was cutting back for us) and then just going home. Well that lasted for about 2 months then I realized that was not what God had in store for us. I found that I was not satisfied living a life of settling for the status quo. I really had no idea what God had in mind but as always He has kept our lives interesting. We have been told more times that we need to write a book because we are interesting people. I really think that what they mean is that we are nuts and/or ignorant and they want to read what not to do in life. lol
Anyway I guess that ignorance is bliss and we are thrilled to be on the path He has chosen for us. Bring it on!!! Pray for us.

A New Adventure
We have embarked on a new adventure. Are we crazy or just going through a mid life crisis? After going down to Belize on a 9 day missions trip, we feel that God wants us to move down there to open a transitional home for orphans that are too old to stay in the orphanage. It will be a whole new way of life for us as things are very different down there from what we are used to here in the states. There are no fast food restaurants (except for one subway that I saw) no walmarts, no mcdonalds, no bowling lanes, nothing that resembles what we have here. We will be raising most of our own food and cooking everything from scratch. Which for any of you who know us, Anna already does most cooking from scratch anyway.
Down there we are definately the minority as most are dark skinned and we stick out like a sore thumb.
Common sense tells me that we should run from the idea of moving to a third world country but I am so excited I can hardly wait to get down there. When we got to Belize, at the airport I said to Anna "what have we gotten ourselves into?" but when we left we cried and said that it felt like we were leaving home. Our hearts are still down there and I can't wait to go get it back.
I will attemp in this blog to keep our friends and family informed as to how we are doing and what life is like down there. Please pray for us as we are raising the funds to get moved down and chomping at the bit every moment that we are still up here. We need God to lead us in all the details and wait for His timing on this.
